How do I know my correct ACS assessment pathway?

ACS offers four pathways based on applicant’s qualification and work experience. You can learn more or read our blog on What ACS pathway fits best for you .

How should I choose projects for my RPL Project Reports?

You should choose projects that highlight your ICT knowledge and skills. You should select the ones where your contribution is significant and which aligns well with the ACS core body of knowledge (ACS CBoK).

What are common reasons for RPL application rejection?

Your RPL application may get rejected if the project reports fail to demonstrate your ICT knowledge and skills, and also if they don’t align with the ACS core body of knowledge. Another common reason may be detection of plagiarism or AI in the report. Your application may also get rejected if your work experience is proven as inadequate or irrelevant.

Who is eligible to apply through the RPL pathway?

Applicants who lack an ICT qualification or whose qualification is not closely related to ICT can apply through the RPL pathway. They must have adequate work experience in ICT, typically at least 6 years, or 8 years to be eligible.

What should be included in the RPL Project Reports?

Each project report should begin with an introduction to the project and then explain your role and responsibilities, how you applied your ICT knowledge and skills and specific outcomes and achievements. It should also explain how the project relates to the ACS core body of knowledge.
